Profile & security
Your Profile is your own account in the workspace, independent of any project. From the profile overview you read your contact details, update your identity, change your password, verify your email and phone, review your signed-in devices, and send us feedback.
Before you start — Anyone signed in can manage their own profile. Changes only affect your account, not the projects you belong to.
Read your profile overview
The overview groups your account into cards. Open the profile area to reach it.
- Open Profile.
- The overview shows five cards:
- Contact Information — your Email address and Phone number, each with a Verified badge or a Start the verification link. Edit the information at the bottom opens your contact details.
- Identity — First name and last name, Country and Identifier, with an Edit your information link.
- Password — Last edited : followed by the date of your last change, or Last modification: not set. Change Password at the bottom opens the password form.
- Verifications — a green tick or a red cross beside Email address and Phone number, then Last check: and the date, or Last check: not defined.
- Active session — under Device, the device you're signed in on right now followed by the city and country it connected from, with a Log out button.
Note — When the connection doesn't identify the device it was opened from, Active session shows Not provided in place of the device name; the city and country still appear. You're still signed in, and Log out still ends the session.
Edit your identity
Update your name from the Identity page.
- Open Profile, then Identity.
- On the Identity card, change Your first name and Your name.
- Click Save.
You'll see Changes saved successfully.
Update your email or phone
Change the contact details used to sign in and receive notifications.
- Open Profile, then Contact details.
- Change your Email address or your Phone number.
- Click Save.
Your details are updated.
Note — Changing your email or phone marks it unverified again — verify it (below) to keep receiving messages and to use two-step verification.
Note — For your security, a notice is sent to your previous email address whenever you change your email or your phone number, so you'd be warned if the change wasn't you.
Change your password
- Open Profile, then Password.
- Enter your New password (use letters, digits and special characters).
- Enter Confirm the password.
- Enter your Current password to confirm your identity, then click Save.
Your password is changed and you're signed out everywhere for security — sign back in with your new password. A confirmation is sent to your email (and by SMS if your phone is verified).
Important — Use a strong password with letters, digits and special characters. If the two new entries differ you'll see The passwords are not identical.
Verify your email
Confirm your email address so you can receive account messages and use email as a second factor.
- Open Profile and click Start the verification next to your email.
- On the Verification page, check that your Email address is correct.
- Click Next to receive a code by email.
- Enter the Code you received and click Next.
Your email is marked Verified.
Note — There's a short wait between code requests. If a code is expired or wrong you'll see The code has expired or The code is not valid — request a new one.
Verify your phone
Confirm your phone number so you can receive SMS notifications and use SMS as a fallback second factor.
- Open Profile and click Start the verification next to your phone.
- On the Verification page, check that your Phone number is correct.
- Click Next to receive a code by SMS.
- Enter the Code you received and click Next.
Your phone is marked Verified.
Sign out a device
Review where your account is signed in and end any session you don't recognise.
- Open Profile, then the My devices tab.
- Each row is one session and shows:
- Device — the operating system it was opened from (Windows, Macintosh, Linux, Android, iPhone…).
- Application — the browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge…).
- IP Address and Localisation — the address it connected from, and the city and country behind it.
- Session — how long ago the connection started, then how long before it expires.
- Click Log out next to a session you want to end.
You'll see The device is disconnected. and that session ends straight away.
Note — When a connection doesn't identify what it was opened from, Device or Application reads Not provided in grey rather than staying blank. The row is still a real session and you can still log it out.
Note — A session that has already run out shows Expired session under Session and carries no Log out button; there's nothing left to end.
Send feedback
Tell us what you think or report a problem — your message reaches the team behind the service. The form is its own page, reached from the left navigation rather than from a tab of your profile.
- In the left navigation, scroll to the bottom and click Send feedback.
- On Send Comments, check the project shown under Project — the message
is filed against it.
- Type a short Subject, then write your message in Your comment. Both
fields are required.
- Click Send (or Cancel to go back without sending).
The form is replaced by a read-only recap of your Project, Subject and Your comment, with The comment is sent. in green above it. Click Close the page. to return to where you came from.
Note — Project is read-only here, and shows the project you currently have open. It reads No name when that project has no name yet, and No project when you don't have one open — you can still send the message.
Note — Subject is a free-text field, not a list of categories: write your own one-line summary.
Note — You can send one message per minute. Sending again straight away is refused with a message asking you to retry in a minute; your text stays in the form.
Important — This form is not a support request. Use it to report a bug, an improvement or a remark — as the What is this page for? panel states, no reply will be given to a message sent through it. Don't include passwords, personal documents or sensitive identifiers.
Note — When your brand's sending address and domain are both validated, an acknowledgement email also reaches your own address. Until they are, the message is still recorded — only the email is skipped.
